Corrupt officials have long been rebuked by the people, as “integrity is above all else for an official”. Historical records have shown how rampant the corrupt officials who “disobeyed the law” and “imposed levies outside the law” were. Their wrongdoings should be taken as a warning. (Chi only)
Zhuge Liang is a household name in both China and Myanmar. During the Southern Campaign, he brought Chinese culture to the Sino-Myanmar border. The “Central Yunnan Farming Method” he introduced is still used by the people of northern Myanmar today. (Chi only)

In what was later known as the May 4th Movement, over 3,000 students from 13 institutions led by Peking University gathered at Tian’anmen Square, chanting the slogan “struggle for sovereignty externally, get rid of national traitors at home” on 4 May 1919. Class boycotts, labour strikes, and business strikes spread nationwide subsequently.
