What Were the Specialties of Ancient Hong Kong?

One of the many ancient Hong Kong specialties was pearl. As early as in the Southern Han Dynasty during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the imperial court already sent people to collect pearls in Hong Kong. The Marco Polo Bridge Incident and the Outbreak of the Total War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

In what was later known as the “Marco Polo Incident” on 7 July 1937, the Japanese Army conducted military exercises near Marco Polo Bridge southwest of Beiping. On the pretext of searching for a “missing soldier”, the Japanese Army requested to enter Wanping. After the Chinese side firmly refused it, the Japanese Army opened fire on the Chinese Army and bombarded the city later that night. This sparked off the Total War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

范仲淹雖是名門之後,但家境貧寒,在成為一代名臣之前,曾經有過一段艱辛清苦的求學之路。經過一番磨礪,他才得以登上仕途,一展抱負。他兩歲時父親去世,家道中衰,母子清貧無依靠。兩年後,母親謝氏改嫁山東淄州長山(淄川縣)人朱文翰。朱文翰為進士,任職於地方低階官吏,范仲淹也改名朱說,這個名字一直沿用至他二十八歲。
